Advice on Ownership

Everyone has slightly different circumstances and choosing the most appropriate form of ownership of a property in France can make a huge difference, now but also sometimes many years later.

Conveyancing Services

We offer the following fixed-fee packages, for the cost of which please contact us:

  • Full conveyancing service for the purchase of an existing property. As well as advising you and dealing on your behalf with the estate agent, the notaire and other parties involved (but not negotiating), this service includes full reports on the preliminary contract, on powers of attorney if any are needed and on the Deed-of-Sale, as well as advice on the most appropriate form of ownership in the light of your particular circumstances.
  • Full conveyancing service for off-plan properties. As well as advising you and dealing on your behalf with the estate agent, the developer, the notaire and other parties involved (but not negotiating), this service includes full reports on the reservation contract, on any rules of co-ownership, on powers of attorney if any are needed and on the Deed-of-Sale, as well as advice on the form of ownership.
  • Full conveyancing service for the purchase of a leaseback. This form of investment in holiday property in France is popular with many British people. As well as advising you and dealing on your behalf with the estate agent, the developer, the notaire and other parties involved (but not negotiating), this service includes full reports on the reservation contract, on the rules of co-ownership, on the commercial lease, on powers of attorney if any are needed and on the Deed-of-Sale, as well as advice on the form of ownership.
  • Detailed report on any one of the documents mentioned above.
  • Full conveyancing service for the sale of a property. In most cases, the process is not difficult but there are some issues, such as capital gain tax, that might make the process daunting.

If you wish us to negotiate on your behalf or assist you in any other way we will be happy to assist you on a time basis.
